Thanks for another interesting article.

It's interesting that Amazon asks you to declare AI-generated content (including covers and other artwork) but not AI-assisted content. So, if you have asked an AI to help you generate ideas, for example, you wouldn't need to declare this but you would have to declare it you had asked the AI to write a passage (or more) for you.

I think the use of AI throws up a lot of questions. For example, copyright. If someone asks an AI to write a book in the style of a famous author, who owns the copyright?

Also, if you are inputting your own writing into the AI, the danger is that something similar could be output when another user asks a question, potentially violating your copyright.

I don't think that the writers of content scraped by the AI have given their permission for their content to be used. So, again, this throws up copyright issues.

We'll have to see how this evolves.
