Paris is one of the fashion capitals of the world and it’s fun to browse in the exclusive designer stores, but what if your budget doesn’t stretch that far?

One solution is to visit the stores in the “Sympa” chain. You’ll find Sympa stores along the rue de Steinkerque and on the corner of the rue de Steinkerque and the boulevard de Rochechouart. The nearest metro station is Anvers.

The Sympa stores sell a wide range of end-of-lines and discontinued items of designer clothing. You have to be prepared to rummage through piles of clothes but you can find some excellent bargains, such as lovely designer jackets, tops and skirts.

With prices starting at just a few euros each, who can resist the temptation to shop?

The Sympa shops are in Montmartre, so after shopping, why not walk up the steps to the Sacré Coeur Basilica? From the top, admire the panoramic view of Paris, with the Eiffel Tower standing tall in the distance.

Wander through the Place du Tetre, where you can watch artists at work. Remember the moment forever by having your portrait painted or, if you’re feeling brave, ask for a caricature!

The area is home to many chic pavement cafés, where you can rest your legs and watch the world go by, while enjoying a well-deserved cappuccino or aperitif.
