Thank you for writing this, Samra. I agree with all your points. I love the freedom to write about anything I want on Medium and it is an awesome platform in many ways, but there are some aspects that concern me.

This is the first I've heard of a $10 minimum payout. Does it mean that your earnings will be rolled over to the next month if they are under $10? Or does it mean your balance will go back to zero at the end of the month if your earnings are below $10? Either way, I agree that this is unfair and this decision should be reversed.

I agree - it is reminiscent of the content mills! I thought I'd left them behind long ago!
