I've been learning Italian for over a year now using Duolingo and I'm really enjoying it! You're right that a little learning every day is better than one long session - I do at least one lesson a day after dinner and make notes while doing that lesson. If I don't feel too tired, I will do more but I don't force myself - one lesson a day is enough to make progress.

My initial goal was to be able to order food in restaurants and speak Italian in shops - I achieved this on a trip to Italy a few months after I started the course. My next goal is to complete the Duolingo course.

Thanks for mentioning the other language learning resources. I will check them out - the YouTube channel sounds interesting.
